We are JEJAKALGBTQ+ Health and Rights in Malaysia

We are a GBQ community-led organisation supporting LGBTQ+ people in Malaysia to live with dignity, safety and connection through care, advocacy and mutual support.

    Who We Are

    Our Mission at JEJAKA

JEJAKA is a community-based organisation focused on health and rights for gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) in Malaysia.

    Our Story

JEJAKA is a community-led organisation for gay, bisexual and queer men in Malaysia. Founded in 2017, JEJAKA grew out of a closed-door community meeting that brought together passionate changemakers to respond to rising discrimination, violence and social exclusion faced by LGBTQ+ people in the country. What began as a small peer-support initiative has since evolved into a trusted community organisation focused on care, safety and collective resilience.

Our name reflects our commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community, particularly GBQ people navigating intersecting challenges related to family rejection, religious pressure, criminalisation and limited access to protection and services. JEJAKA works to create safer and braver spaces where individuals can find acceptance, solidarity and practical support.
